Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English actress, model and television star who gained fame during the 1990s after she was the girlfriend of Hugh Grant. In the 1990s, when Grant was the center of media attention due to his international box-office success in Four Weddings and a Funeral, Hurley accompanied Grant in a plunged black Versace dress that was secured with gold safety pins. Her appearance gained immediate media exposure. Hurley has had a successful career but her association with Estee Lauder cosmetics is the most important. Hurley began her modeling contract with the company at the age of 29 years old. The company has since employed Hurley as a brand model particularly for perfumes including Sensuous Intuitions and Pleasures. Her most well-known film role was as Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers the hit spy comedy International Man of Mystery (1997) and Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). Hurley is currently a model and designer of the eponymous Beachwear Line. Capitol Records released Perry's Ur So Gay EP in 2007, which received some interest due to its humorous song. I kissed a Girl - an ode of sexual curiosity - was made available a few months later. It featured a hard electro-pop style and an assertive stance. The track quickly caused controversy as some critics derided it for promoting same-sex relations and others charged that the racy scenario that it depicted was a sly way to appeal to men's fantasies about sexuality in females. I Kissed a Girl, an enthralling combination of sexual satire with a sophisticated tune, allowed I Kissed a Girl to be a top-rated hit in a variety of countries, and to drive the sales of her album One of the Boys. Hot N Cold is a well-known second track. Perry also wrote a number of the lyrics for the album.
