Nicky Whelan became known in Australia through her character Pepper Steiger, which she played in the soap drama Neighbors which ran for 100 episodes, broadcast between 2006 through 2007. In Hollywood the actress was involved in two projects. The first was as a part of Hollywood & Wine where she was a young actress who wanted to be. Her next project was in the role of Maya in Scrubs Season 9, where she played a seductive medical student. The show is abruptly canceled. Following that, she continued with the Farrelly brothers comedy Good to Shoot that was co-starred by Jason Sudeikis and Owen Wilson. Later, the actress appeared in B-series films, series or shorts. In 2013 she began to be exposed further. After playing in six episodes for the drama about detectives Franklin and Bash and landing her first role as a regular in the web series Chosen with Milo Ventimiglia, the actress was offered a variety of roles. She appears in both seasons and has a dialogue with Chad Michael Murray. In the following year the actress was rewarded with support roles in two incredible film features set in aircrafts the first of which was a television film made for the SyFy channel called Flight 7500: One Way Back, with a cast that included actors from TV series while the second is the action movie Le Chaos, carried by Nicolas Cage.
